Our Position on Copyright
URLShortr respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects the same from anyone using our Service. Since URLShortr only creates a redirect and does not host the destination content, we're generally not in a position to remove content itself — but we can disable a short link that redirects to material you believe infringes your copyright.
Filing a Takedown Notice
If you believe a short link on urlshortr.in redirects to content that infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@urlshortr.in that includes:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
- The specific URLShortr short link (e.g.
urlshortr.in/xxxxx) you're reporting, and, if known, the destination URL; - Your contact information (name and email address);
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
What Happens Next
We review valid notices and, where appropriate, disable the reported short link. We may notify the person who created the link where we have a way to reach them.
Counter-Notices
If you believe a link you created was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same email address with your contact details and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the link was disabled in error.
